HALLOWEEN 2005
Is that a prop or just me?  McDonald Manor was just for the kids this year, merely decorating the outside for Halloween night.  Needless to say, I discovered pre-teen girls are the easiest to scare.
All I did this year was recycle props, much like we did last year to decorate the front of the house.  Making new props is getting harder and harder to do with hectic schedules, but Andy made a cool thing this year with the fog machine.  Normally, fog produced from fog machines rises as soon as it spits out.  Andy created a contraption that allows the fog to hug to the ground using ice inside the device before it spews across the yard.  It made for a really cool effect in the graveyard.
ULTIMATE FOG CHILLER
What I tried to do this year was create a pathway for the kids to follow in order to come get their candy.  On their way, they would come across all the decor that I pulled out and perhaps have a few frights on the way.  They follow the path of the pumpkins up the driveway, where they come to the awning of the house to the door.    Once the kids got to the door and reached for the doorbell, frightfully, I would yell at them to come to the courtyard for candy.  That's when they would jump, scream, and make the treacherous path all for a smidge of candy.  Good thing I'm only evil in my mind...
