| HELL | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| We dug a hole in the ground..Duh! Andy then put a gas grill burner near the lip of the hole. Be sure to clean out any grass or debris for fire safety purposes. Build a lip around the edge of the hole so your guests cannot see the burner. Next, Dano built crosses out of old wood and attached plastic painted skulls on top using glue. He then draped the crosses with old painted fabric and applied plastic chains between the two...you can get this at any party or costume store. He bought old wooden fencing from a garage sale and painted it to look decrepid. The Hell sign was made from durable styrofoam painted with glow in the dark paints. The last touch was a speaker in the pit with spooky sounds and voila! Hell! | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| CREEPY HEADS | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Dano pretty much explains how to make the creepy heads. All you have to do is go to any wig shop for the styrofoam heads. They are about $4 per head. Just remember when painting with styrofoam, to use the kind that will not disintigrate your styrofoam. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| MR DISGUSTING HEAD AND HIS FRIEND THE ATTIC MONSTER | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| These are creepy heads put to use. The first picture is Mr Disgusting Head..he was tucked in a closet about waist high. We put a posterboard boarder around him, and a fake spiderweb behind him. He was made from pvc pipe, put a shirt and tie and a looping tape that made the girls go crazy! The second is the Attic Monster. His body was also made from pvc pipe linked together with a shirt over him. We stuck him in the crawl space at the end of the hall, lit him darkly and added a looping creepy tape up there. Needless to say I did not look up on a daily basis. Both had hair from a cheap wig and gooey icky sticky eyeballs we got from a party store. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| ENDLESS HALLWAY | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Here is the hallway before and after. We cut out styrofoam boarder at each end and painted it with glow in the dark paints. At the end of the hall is a board painted to match the floor to give the illusion. This is a forced perspective trick. We added cobwebs and various sundries on the walls & doors, put at least 2 blacklights in there and made a nice little space our guests could enjoy for a trip to the bathroom. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| ALIEN BABIES | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Here are the alien babies. These were designed and made completely by Dano. He picked up the jars with the babies inside at a party store just before Halloween. He added water and green food coloring and attached all three with an oxygen fish tank pump and tubes connecting them all. He created the holder using styrofoam glued together then glued individual model pieces on top. He then painted it all silver with a black stain paint on top. It pays off to be drunk and bored on a Saturday night! | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| CRYOGENIC ALIEN | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| This is the cryogenic alien. This was made from a thick transport cylinder. Dano cut a hole in the front (where the head is) and added a crystalized plastic window. The alien head was made from a styrofoam dummy head coated several times with watered down calk. This will take several applications and given hours to dry. He then added pirate patches for eyes and painted over them. The outside of the cylinder had stickers and battery operated lights glued to it. We added a red police light on top, so whenever Bob was activated, so was the light..that was hooked up to the light sensor as well. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| ALIEN AUTOPSY | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| This is Bob the Alien. He wasn't feeling so good so we decided to try surgery. He is a grand creation made by Brian, Heidi, Andy and Dano. Bob was made out of chicken wire wrapped in cloth dipped in waterered down calk. The cloth makes the alien skin, which after drying, it painted with acrylics. We added silly string for guts. Dano used a spare computer for a surgical looking computer screen complete with animation. Andy made Bob sit up using an air compressor. Every time a guest would come in, they would have to get close, which triggered a light sensor to the air compressor which made Bob suddenly sit up and scare the alien crap out of our guests! |

| SHOWER LURKER | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| This is a fun guy we call the shower lurker. As our ghoulish guests open the door to use the ahem...facilities, out he pops from behind the shower curtain. He was made from a pulley system that attached the arms thru eyehooks to the doorhandle. His arms are made from rods connected by hinges and his head was just a scream mask. Dano just covered him with a black sheet and attached him to the shower curtain rod. A roll of pennies was used as counter weight. He was very effective making our guests think they were not alone in the bathroom! | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
